Brazilian Executives from the steel sector traveled to Washington, D.C. this week to advocate for the exclusion of Brazil from Section 232 Investigation of Steel Imports on National Security.
BIC was responsible for organizing the delegation's agenda, which included meetings with representatives of the Brazilian Caucus, the Steel Caucus, and the Coal Caucus. Members of the delegation also met with members of the Ways and Means Committee and Steel sector representatives from the White House.
The delegation came as a reinforcement for Brazil’s Trade Minister, Marcos Jorge de Lima, who met with United State’s Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross to discuss the matter.
